Souls under the Altar

Revelation chapter 6 verses 9-11; chapter 20 verse 4

Here we have a revelation of good and positive elements within men and women. These ordinary hidden-away souls are the repressed good or positive elements within us. The basic good and caring intentions within us come under the assault of ridicule and derision, and of simple rejection. To all intents and purposes, these parts of us have been killed off, but in reality they are preserved within our sub-conscious ('under the altar'). There they are protected from lasting harm, as it were in quarantine. They await the transformation within us that will allow them once again to surface and become a central part of our life.

In the stress of waiting, we may want to cry out, "How long will it be before these good intentions can be freed from the slaughter and repression? I want the higher part of me to be released." Genuine yearning and persistence is recognised in heaven. We are given the support we need to endure, and the help to undergo transformation into our higher self. It is Love in action.

"I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain because of the word of God and the testimony they had maintained."

(chapter 6 verse 9)
